Great food from very friendly people. One of he best places around for Chinese food. The prices are a little high but the quality/quantity is very good.

Tried this place at the recommendation of a friend/coworker. Did not disappoint. Got the general tso's with pork fried rice and it is not like your typical chinese fried chicken. It is clearly made fresh. The pork fried rice could have used a little more pork but it was tasty. Price was higher than other chinese take out but so was the quality. I'll be ordering from here again.

Best Chinese food ever tasted! Very fresh n they take their time unlike other restaurants orders are ready in 10 minutes, plan 25-30 minutes with China gourmet.

Just ordered from here the other day. Food is fresh and one of the best places I've found so far since every other place I've been ordering from tends to burn it.

If you want to spend $30 dollars on some terrible chinese food this is the place for you. The food was terrible. I ordered two general tso chicken combos and a small thing of beef lo mein and the total came to $41. I took one bite of the chicke. And it was the grossest thing I've ever had. My girlfriend took one look at it and wouldnt even try it. Immediately called them and took the food back for a refund. Dont waste your time or money here. Ive had better chinese food for half that price.

Im a trucker and you better believe that ive tried chinese food from all over the states. Im not exaggerating when i say this is the best chinese food ive had. You can tell the ingredients are hand selected. Meals are made to order. 3 generations of chefs and you can taste the proof. If youre at the TA, dont pass this one up. Doesnt deliver, but worth the 3 min walk.

Great place for take out.

The food isn't bad, but small portions for what they charge. Must be the only Chinese place in this town if they can get away with it. Woman that owns the place was very rude as well. All kinds of signs about being short staffed and needing reservations says a lot about how they treat their staff. And just once I'd like to find a Chinese place that isn't to cheap to serve actual fried rice. Next time I'm in town, I will not be eating here.

Master chef from China, husband and wife team, all sauces made from scratch using traditional ingredients, very healthy, and friendly too, you need to try and compare this to other Chinese restaurants. The taste will reflect all of the nice attributes mentioned above. I like this food.

No flavor. Was looking forward to great east coast traditional food but received California style light flavor. Hot and fresh but light flavor. Small serving size for take out dinners. I had to have a pbj sandwich after to satisfy my hunger. That was a first. Lots of fillers, to manny peas and scallions. 1oz sweet and sour was excellent. The white rice was good but the container was not fully crammed and packed could have been much fuller for the prices charged. Beware no table service Friday Saturday eve as there isn't enough staff just order take out if you want. We won't be back.

Showed up expecting some food at lunch time; and was greeted by a very rude old and Chinese woman. Informed us that "we only take out", and refused to take our order. I suspect they were out of cat.

This is by far the best and “cleanest” Chinese food in CT. No greasy mess you get from other places. We highly recommend it.Disregard the negative comments about the owner or service. She is a master at her craft. Watch Seinfield “soup nazi” episode and you will understand her lol! Delicious fresh food every time. 5 stars !

Always great food and pleasant people. Food tastes fresh. To the person who refer to old woman and Chinese grow up. It's a Chinese restaurant expect to have Asian people greet you. And also the reference to cat... Really???

The staff is wonderful, very welcoming. The dining room is small, but a great atmosphere, very comfortable. The food is awesome; made fresh, they're healthy family recipes and they have an impressive collection of teas to choose from to pair with your dinner. Well worth the (little) extra money.

It is slightly more expensive and plan at least 1/2 hour to prepare BUT it is all fresh and made to order. The extra $ and time are worth it when you taste it. Maybe the best resturant in Southington for any kind of take out.

Greatest Chinese I've ever had. On the More expensive side, but I don't get sick after eating it. And it tastes sooooo good! Annie & Jackson are great people!

The BEST Chinese food around! Doesn’t seem to have all of the preservatives etc of other Chinese food restaurants! Best to call ahead for dining in as the staff is very limited! But it’s worth it.

Food was fresh and had a good taste. We had the Chicken lo mein and beef fried rice. Very nice lady in the front.

Get the orange chicken extra spicy and pair it with a Lawson's Sip of sunshine IIPA and you have experienced the best food to beverage combination ever. This makes oreos and milk taste like lamb and tuna fish.

Best Chinese food I have ever had (Sesame Chicken). Tea is very good. Be aware good food takes time, and this is worth the wait.

Worst Chinese place ever!!! First time going. I ordered sweet n sour chicken with beef fried rice. He charged me 12.71 after tax, then came out with my food to go, and it was to stay, with WHITE rice. I told him i ordered beef fried, he said it dont come with beef or pork fried, thats $2 more. I asked him to bring me a plate out so i can eat because im not about to pay $2 because u messed up my order, and the plate was dirty with bread crumbs and whatever else was back there in the kitchen!! DO NOT EAT FROM THERE. HE BARELY SPOKE ENGLISH EITHER!!!! #THEWORST

Crab Ragoon was terrible! Tasted like old seafood with the little meat they put in it.
